An International MoU on the Solidarity Ring Initiative

A Memorandum of Understanding to encourage cooperation between the gas transmission system operators from Bulgaria (Bulgartransgaz EAD), Romania (Transgaz S.A.), Hungary (FGSZ Ltd.), Slovakia EUSTREAM), and the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) was signed in Sofia, Bulgaria. The document was signed at an official ceremony by the energy and economy ministers of respective countries.

GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. and eustream, a.s. herby informs that the Poland – Slovakia Gas Interconnector is ready to start the commercial operation

The capacity of the new interconnection point on the border between Poland and Slovakia – IP Vyrava PL-SK (EIC21Z6035937275964) will be available from the gas day starting on November 12, 6:00 a.m., with the first daily auction to be held on Friday, November 11.

Joint initiative by gas TSOs Bulgartransgaz, Transgaz, FGSZ and Eustream

The gas transmission operators of Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia propose an initiative for natural gas transport through the integrated gas transmission networks. Bulgartransgaz, Transgaz, FGSZ and Eustream propose joint action regarding the expansion of the cooperation between the European Union and Azerbaijan by transporting additional natural gas quantities through their existing networks. The gas transmission operators will continue to work within the framework of the EU-Azerbaijan strategic cooperation agreement signed on 18 July 2022. The TSOs have submitted to the EC their joint proposal, highlighting the significant opportunities and benefits from its implementation to EU’s energy priorities.

Construction of Poland – Slovakia Gas Interconnector completed

On 26 August this year, a ceremony was held in Strachocina, Poland, to mark the end of construction of a new gas connection between Poland and Slovakia. The planned start date for commercial operation of this interconnector is October 2022. Representatives of the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Government of the Slovak Republic were present at the ceremony in Strachocina.
