Eustream already has main suppliers for installation of two new turbo sets

Eustream has finalised a tender for the contractor-constructor and contractor-technologist for the project concerning the production and installation of two modern turbines for the compressor station in Veľké Zlievce. The winner of the electronic auction in both cases was the consortium of ZIPP BRATISLAVA and PSJ Hydrotranzit. Construction work will be launched in September.

The production of the actual tandem turbines, which will enable more flexible “actuation” of gas through the Slovak territory, will be provided by the company Rolls-Royce, which to date has produced and tested gas generators at the production plant. Until completion of construction work at Veľké Zlievce, Rolls-Royce will produce additional components of low emission turbines and then install them in Slovakia. The whole project will cost around EUR 70 million.

The state-of-the-art tandem turbines will replace the technology used at present, thereby satisfying the strictest international emission limits while also ensuring the highest possible safety and reliability of the system. They will be placed at the compressor station in Veľké Zlievce, as this is located at the middle of the Slovak transmission system, which is the optimum position for “actuating” the gas.

Since its establishment, one of the basic priorities of Eustream has been to increase constantly the reliability, safety and flexibility of natural gas transmission to the European market.

Over 90% of the gas passes through Slovakia to other European countries, as the clients of Eustream are predominantly from abroad. For years Eustream has been perceived by its partners as a reliable “highway” of Russian gas to Western Europe.
