Regulated tariffs and online price calculation

Gas transmission is a regulated business activity. This includes regulation of transmission tariffs (i.e. entry/exit tariffs). The primary and secondary legislation related to gas transmission activities in Slovakia comprises inter alia:
  • Act No. 656/2004 Coll. on Energy and consequential amendments (Energy Act)
  • Act No. 276/2001 Coll. on Regulation in Network Industries and consequential amendments (Regulation Act)
  • Decree of the Government of the Slovak Republic No. 409/2007 laying down the rules for the gas market (Gas Market Rules)
  • Decree of the Regulatory Office for Network Industries No. 4/2009 laying down the scope and method of price regulation (Price Decree)
Based on the relevant legislation, the Office for Regulation of Network Industries (URSO) decides each year on the tariffs to be applied in transmission contracts for the next calendar year (Price Decision). The Price Decision for 2011 was issued by URSO on 6th of October 2010. The Price Decision covers tariffs for the entry and exit points of the transmission system including rates of gas for operational needs.

For further information about individual entry and exit tariffs, please consult the Price Decision and our online price calculator.
